Sulh, Erray, Beke, Mihs, Gumund, Tsumukikiatu, Pace...

...It all means the same thing.

Peace.

Flagging it up . . . Peace is a concept that needs to be treated as a genuine possibility

Today marks a day when The Peace Party steps into the arena of online internet communication on a more prominent level.
The party itself is currently run by co-founder and National Organiser John Morris - who formed it in 1996 - along with original founder of the 'People's Peace Party' in the 70s, ex pirate radio DJ Jim Duggan.
Jim was one of the dudes broadcasting from the original boat back in the early days and is basically a long white-haired hippy who has been spreading the message of peace around Guildford ever since.
I am honoured to be able to include myself (Tommy Holgate) in the operation as Media Spokesperson.
A bit about 'myself'. . .
I've worked, on-and-off, at The Sun newspaper for the last 11 years - on every department from video to sport, news, online subbing, column writing, showbiz... and even ended up appearing as the Sun+ Lotto mascot, Tommy Lottery, last year.
Lotto fun . . . but in real life I don't give a hoot about cash, preferring to redistribute it wherever possible
There is a beauty in the fact that I personally don't care for money, and that I 'gave away' £1,000,000 over the course of a month.
And I learned a few things from the job.
'Sun readers', from what I experienced, are lovely family-focussed individuals.
Admittedly less likely to be dabbling in rocket science in their spare time, but often working in the very trades and industries that keep the country going.
I grew up reading The Sun but also listening to Radio 4, so struggle to differentiate between any demographic.

Because I know that every demographic is interested in achieving a state of peace for themselves and their family - so in that sense we are all very much the same.

Having been on the media side of many fences, now feels like the right time to get spreading the moral message of The Peace Party across a variety of outlets.

So what is next for you and The Peace Party?
I would say, give us a 'like' on Facebook and follow us on Twitter @PeacePartyUK and visit the website - but crucially be aware that there is now something worth voting for.

It'll be a marathon, not a sprint, but we can begin by encouraging individuals to enjoy the recognition that to achieve peace on a global scale, we must look to achieve peace in our own lives.
Healthy nutrition, appreciation of family and friends, a feeling that 'love' can be a default state will all help in our collective journey to achieve peace on the planet. If this is to be a snowball effect, you're a beautiful snowflake, so get on board!
I think I just heard a little voice inside your head go 'yeah, go on then'.

Here's to some good times,

Party on . . . Peace
